Since 1987 Eric Peacock has composed and performed a variety of music falling under the umbrellas of electronica, experimental, soundtrack and world music. This is the official site for information and examples of all Eric's music.
Currently Eric is working on a a series of 5.1 surround sound video-based soundscapes as well as a collection of lighter electronica which will potentially be his last conventional compact disc release. He is also a performing member of the Seattle Improvisation Meeting which meets monthly to play improvised electro-acoustic music.

MP3s and printable artwork for my 1999 CD project, Heavy Monkey are also now available for download.
In 2002 the entire cd was available at MP3.com before that site was swallowed up and reborn after the bubble burst. I opted not to let the re-formed MP3.com keep the album so it went offline for a few years and now it's back. One of my older"bedroom recordings" produced in my tiny cave-like studio apartment the production only goes so far. A few tracks hold up pretty well after all these years though, so it's worth a listen.

MP3s and printable artwork for my old 1999 remix CD project, HeEnd - The Remixes are now available for download.
Yep, this must seem pretty crazy to those who know who or what HeEnd was. Not a lot of these CDs got around back during the release, and many recipients probably didn't know what to make of it anyway - HeEnd wasn't the sort of music that should get "remixed". It's quite the experiment. Now everyone has the chance to download, listen and try very very hard to get a handle on it.
Now I'll have to start putting up my real albums for downloading to clear my name.

The latest working cover artwork for my current CD project has been uploaded. I doubt it will change much from this, but technically you never know...

Another bit of catching up has generated the long overdue release of Four From Three, my second soundscape for a sculpture installation by LeeAnn Mitchell. This was my second commission with LeeAnn, the first being All Fall Down. This was originally recorded and completed at the end of the summer in 1999, but I had misgivings about it at the time and was also rather busy getting it out on top of my full-time job so an official release hasn't happened until now.
It's a difficult listen overall, so I've not included bonus tracks like I did on All Fall Down. This one stands on it's own - and it may test the ears of anyone who prefers my more upbeat and electronic work.

Against some of my own better judgements I've reinstated information and now artwork from all my cassette projects - the work that started it all. You can view them by going to the discography page and simply moving forward via the marked arrows (which I've made a bit easier to see now).
I pulled the info about my cassette work out a few site revisions or years ago, mostly to force a reworking of it as it appears now. My tape work was very experimental and amateur overall, so it's not so listenable. However I still feel that it's important to exemplify my history by including them on this site.
I actually still have a lot of artwork, diagrams and other information to add in the future.

For the first time in ages I'm working with music and video in a synchronized way. Some of it is very minimal visually, but I've been happy with the result despite that. Traditionally I have a busy aesthetic to things moving over time, so when I do something that is clean and simple it's a nice departure.
These videos are aimed for a DVD release sometime in the future, probably after the long time simmering CD that I've got most of the basic tracks ready for. This DVD isn't so much a compilation of videos as it will be a visual album of restructured or edited tracks from all my music so far set to appropriate visuals.
I've always composed with some sort of vision in my head even though my musical process relies on a at least some complete experimentation or improvisation. Composition is really an evolutionary process - you start somewhere but along the way you find better things to do. And of course much of the final products reach their full height of success and so you try again.
The plan is to post some early audio and video stuff here, perhaps as a teaser clip. This will happen when it's ready, but there is enough material now to edit something together.
However I'm still also fairly preoccupied producing some mixes and videos for friends and rockers Neon Brown. Those videos are coming out pretty good and I'm learning a lot as I go. That is giving me a lot to think about and use for my own stuff.
